General Service Representatives (GSR)

NEW: The GSR Handbook is now available electronically (24 pages pdf).

This is the most important 12th Step Position for the Group that there is in AA!

The General Service Representative is the link between the local AA Group and AA as a whole. The GSR is the voice of the Group Conscience, reporting The Group's wishes to the District Service Committee and thereby to the Chicago Area Service Assembly and to the Chicago Area Delegate to the General Service Conference. GSRs keep AA vital and productive.

Each GSR should have AA experience, stability (usually at least two years of continuous sobriety) and the time to perform this service for their Group and District.

Every Group in the Chicagoland Area should have a GSR.

Shouldn't your Home Group's Conscience be represented too?

Use this form (español) to register as a new GSR with the Chicago office.
